Zaynab described their brutality: “They killed women, children, even a 10-year-old boy. Bodies were left on roadsides for days, buried later in mass graves.” A Village Erased Sanubar, once a peaceful agricultural community of 35,000 known for its pine forests, now lies in ruins. Survivors reported snipers on rooftops preventing families from retrieving bodies. Zaynab and her daughter escaped with the help of a Sunni friend from Idlib, who warned: “These people are crazy. They’ll kill you too.” Call for Safety “We’re saturated with blood. We just want to live in security and peace,” Zaynab pleaded. “If they want us to leave, let them open the doors. We’ll migrate, but stop the killing.”
