Nichtmuslime über Imam Hussein und die Tragödie von Kerbala!

die Botschaft von Imam Hussein (as) ist allgegenwärtig. Seine Märtyrium erweckte eine schlafende Ummah und ist unvergesslich. Aber nicht nur die Shia wurden von seiner Tragödie inspiriert und beeinflusst. Auch bedeutende Nichtmuslimische Menschen lernten von Imam Hussein.

 

Hier sind Zitate von berühmten Persönlichkeiten über den Enkelsohn unseres heiligen Propheten (saaws):

 

Mahatma Gandhi (Indian political and spiritual leader): “I learnd from Hussein

how to achieve victory while being oppressed.”

 

Thomas Carlyle (Scottish historian and essayist): “The best lesson which we get

from the tragedy of Cerebella is that Husain and his companions were rigid

believers in God. They illustrated that the numerical superiority does not

count when it comes to the truth and the falsehood. The victory of Husain,

despite his minority, marvels me!”

provided more lessons than the martyrdom of Husayn in the battle of

Eine große Bitte habe ich:

 

Wäre es nicht besser, bei jedem Zitat auch die Quelle genau zu benennen?

 

Bei einigen werden sie angegeben, bei einigen nicht, und ausgerechnet bei solchen Größen wie Gandhi oder Dickens.

 

Das kommt wohl daher, weil diese Zitate im WWW überall zu finden sind und zumeist weiter-kopiert werden.

 

Es gibt sogar mind. ein Zitat von Mandela (“I have spent more than 20 years in prison, then on one night I decided to surrender by signing all the terms and conditions of government. But suddenly I thought about Imam Hussain and Karbala movement and Imam Hussain gave me strenght to stand for right of freedom and liberation and I did.”) - aber leider, wie so oft, ohne Quellenangabe. In seiner Autobiografie "Long Walk to Freedom" ist es nicht. Und die Nelson Mandela Foundation in Südafrika teilte mir mit, dass sie diese auch nicht kenne. Über viel Googlen könnte es höchstens in einer anderen Biografie (Autobiografie) Mandelas in Urdu stehen, lt. WWW von Mohsin Tahir übersetzt (oder verfasst?). Das geht angeblich auf einen Youtube-Vortrag in Urdu eines Sahib Shah zurück, den man aber aus Youtube genommen hat wegen Urheberrechtsverletzungen. Ist also schwer, es zu finden.

 

Dasselbe betrifft auch Victor Hugo (“The principles of Hussains’ revolution became an approach to every rebel who want to take his rights from his oppressors.” - wie es im Französischen heißt, ist mir aber nicht bekannt. Google übersetz so: "Les principes de la révolution d‘Hussayn devenus une approche à chaque rebelle qui veulent prendre ses droits de ses oppresseurs." - vielleicht findet jemand über diese "Übersetzung" die originalen französischen Worte Hugo's?).

 

Und es wäre nicht verkehrt, auch immer mit anzugeben, wer wer ist. So ist z.B. bei Dr. K. Sheldrake unklar, wer das war, zumal der Name im WWW kaum zu finden ist, es sei denn es ist tatsächlich ein englischer Händler und Konvertit (der sich fortan Dr. Khalid Sheldrake nannte), der 1934 kurzzeitig auf Bitten der Emire von Khotan König von "Islamistan" im chinesischen Xinjiang war, wie Wikipedia zu berichten weiß.

 

Und noch etwas: Falls ein Zitat geboten wird, wäre es gut, wenn auch der originale Wortlaut mitgeliefert würde.
